Speaker:  Bobby Dove

Special Operations Wounded Warriors

Overview:

Capt. Bobby Dove grew up fishing all over the Chesapeake Bay in Virginia.  He served as a Green Beret medic in the US Army Special Forces. Bobby was injured by an IED, while on combat patrol in Afghanistan, resulting in amputations of his dominate hand and leg, as well as many other life threatening injuries.  Through his dedication and hard work, he returned to duty 7 months after his injury and deployed again on a non-combat deployment.  Since medically retiring, Capt. Bobby now owns and operates Hooligan Charters.  He uses light tackle and his 24' Skeeter SX240 to achieve a level of success that competes with the biggest charters around. Whether he's offshore chasing red snapper, kingfish, sharks or cobia or inshore catching redfish, trout and flounder, Bobby is a excellent angler and will put you on the fish.

He also invest an enormous amount of time with nonprofit organizations that strive to help wounded service members return to the outdoors.  He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Special Operations Wounded Warriors. He has vowed to continue to succeed and take his life and recovery into his own hands. He plans to use Hooligan Charters to provide for his family, promote community involvement, and assist other service members in need.
