Wednesday, August 12th, 2009 - Negligent Referrals and Defamation Issues
Our August meeting will be held at New World Landing on Wednesday, August 12th, from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. Our speaker will be Caryn Campbell of Clark, Partington, Hart Law Firm. Her presentation will be on negligent referrals and defamation issues and will cover topics such as the potential consequences of failing to inform the prospective employer of an employee's dangerous propensities, best practices for referral policies and best practices for computer use policies.
Caryn received her education from Florida State University (1998) and the University of Chicago Law School (2004). Caryn specializes in the areas of employment law and employee benefits. Her practice areas include qualified and non-qualified plans, executive compensation, Section 409A and welfare benefit plans.

The meeting cost is $15 for GPSHRM members (for those who have not already pre-paid) and $25 for guests. If you attend as a Guest and join our Chapter within 30 days of the event, you will receive a $10 discount on your current year dues.
